5. Pasta Pieces Lasagne
Pasta pieces lasagne simply takes our previous concept to the next level – by using pieces of fusilli or another pasta in the place of the pasta sheets that you would probably normally use. The result will be something that is similar to a bolognese or another pasta dish, with the key difference being that you are going to use the pasta is more of a layered fashion, and you are going to layer the cheese and the white sauce on top as before.
So take your mixture, layer it in the bottom of a bowl, and then take your pasta pieces and lay some cheese and white sauce on top, before going up a layer.
Not lasagne-esque enough for you? You can mimic the texture and the flavor a little more closely than by grilling the cheese on top of the pasta. Take the pieces of pasta, grate some cheese over the top, and then place in a tray at the top of the oven. The cheese will melt and become crispy, and you can then put your rigid layer of pasta into place.
