Jalapenos provide a higher spice level than the cayenne pepper that you used to make the blue cheese sauce topping. They also add a nice crunchy texture to your deviled eggs that make for a nice contrast with the normally soft sensation that you feel whenever you bite into them. You can also add in minced cilantro, some chives, or parsley to improve the presentation and add in another flavor to your dish.
Some people choose to sprinkle cayenne pepper powder on top of the spicy eggs in their tray so that people who avoid heat know which ones they can and can’t eat.
