Tuna is a staple in many households. Each can contain a healthy serving of protein, with very little fat and no carbohydrates. It’s the perfect meal for anyone on the go. Whether you’re eating canned tuna or fresh filleted tuna steaks, this fish is easy to prepare in a wide variety of tasty dishes.
Blue-fin tuna is a favorite food for sushi enthusiasts, while the canned tuna you buy at the market consists of Albacore – or white tuna, as well as a small amount of Skipjack. Since these fish are a large predatory species, there’s some concern about the levels of mercury toxicity in their flesh. However, research suggests that eating a can or two of shredded tuna once or twice a month won’t adversely affect your health.
We decided to share our top 16-easy prep tuna recipes. Each of the meals is ready in no time at all and packed with nutrition.
