4 Golden Desert Cornbread
Taking this cakey idea to the next level and demonstrating just how versatile this basic mixture is, we’re going to look at how you can make a desert-styled cornbread that has a sweet and sticky topping.
To make this one, you are going to need a cup of all-purpose flour, a cup of yellow cornmeal, 2/3 cup of white sugar, a pinch of salt, 3.5tsp of baking powder, one egg, one cup of milk, and 1/3 cup of vegetable oil.
And again, you’re simply going to mix together those dry ingredients, and then stir in the wet ones (egg and milk) until the whole thing becomes a thick batter. Then pop in a cake tin and place in the oven on around 200C for 20 minutes or so until golden.
You can cut this one into slices like a cake and for added bonus points, try pouring a light honey or syrup on top.
